UFC 216 weigh-in results: Kevin Lee needs two attempts to make weight for the interim title fight

UFC 216 early weigh-in

The interim Lightweight fight between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee is now official after a dramatic weigh-ins.

Lee arrived to the scale just seconds before a two-hour window ended and initially weighed 156 pounds, which is 1 pound over the allowable limit.
After missing weight, he walked behind a curtain that was set up in the room. He emerged almost an 1 hour later to step back on the scale and weigh in at 154.5 pounds.

In most jurisdictions, a fighter is not allowed to re-weigh after missing weight on the official scale. However, NYSAC executive director Bob Bennett told reporters that NYSAC policy allows a second weigh-in for title fights.

Meanwhile, the co-main event fighters Demetrious Johnson and Ray Borg had no problems making weight and the fight that was cancelled before is now official.
